Abu Asim Azmi is the MLA from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar and serves as the President of Samajwadi Party Mumbai and Maharashtra Pradesh. He is widely regarded as a strong grassroots leader and a consistent voice for the underprivileged, minorities, and marginalized communities.
Apart from politics, he is deeply engaged in philanthropy through the Niyaz Ahmed Minority Welfare and Education Trust. His initiatives focus on education, healthcare, and social welfare, including running schools, medical centers, mobile health services, and clean water projects for underserved communities.
